We used levers to make a catapult. Do you know what a lever is?

Is a lever a simple machine or a complex one?
How do you know?

We discovered that catapults can launch an object a great distance!!!

LANDSCAPES AND SETTLEMENTS

In the last unit we have looked at natural landscapes and man-made ones. We compared urban landscapes to rural ones. And we even thought about the positive and negative points to living in a rural town or in a large megacity.

We also did a project on rural and urban landscapes.

Would you like to see our projects? Then watch the videos that follow.

After you have had a look at all the different projects take part in our "Landscapes and Settlements" poll and vote for your favourite projects!

NOW YOU CAN VOTE FOR THE ONES YOU LIKED BEST.

You can vote more than once.

PRIMARY 4: OSPREY SONG

OSPREYS

  • Do ospreys eat pizza?
  • Are they herbivores?
  • Do they always stay in the same place or do they migrate south when the weather gets cold?

We heard this song for the first time at the Urdaibai Bird Center in Gautegiz-Arteaga.

It was performed by the Juniors at Hurst Lodge School and we instantly fell in love with the fabulous song. So we learned the song. If you want to hear Basque Primary 4 students sing the song just click on the link below.

Now listen to the other half of the class sing the song.
