A TEACHER FROM BOISE, IDAHO

We were very lucky to have a visiting teacher from the USA. She teaches at Saint Joseph's School in Boise, Idaho.

Do you know where that is? Check below to see.

Can you find the capital city of Idaho?

These are pictures of Saint Joseph's , the  school Rose Marie Colburn-Arrubarena teaches at.

On her visit to our school she watched PRIMARY 5 students giving presentations on plants and was very impressed!

After the presentations, we asked her a lot of questions about the USA, and she patiently answered all of them.

She talked about many things.

  • Do you remember where the White House is in the USA?
  • Who is the President of the USA?
  • Has she ever met the President of the USA?
  • Who might have been in the helicopter that landed near the White House on her visit to Washington DC?

Watch the clip and see if you remember.

PRIMARY 6 students were also very curious, and they asked her lots of questions about daily life in the USA.

Watch and see if you remember.

  • What does Rose Marie teach at Saint Joseph's?
  • How long are the foreign language lessons there?

We learned about when they start learning Spanish at her school.

  • Does she think it is important to learn other languages at school? Why/Why not?

THANK YOU FOR YOUR VERY INTERESTING VISIT!
